a elekid, 2 scorpis, a gligar, and 10 eevees appeared
go fiomew go mime jr. go carnivine
fiomew use hyper fang on those scorpis
now go pokeballs
..............................................bing scorpis were caught
ok now mime jr. use mimic on those eevee's and carnivine use leaf storm on them
5 eevees fainted and my pokemon gained 1065 exp points
they all grew to level 20
now pokeballs go..................................bing the other wild pokemon were caught

you can if you have enough pokeballs and that has nothing to do whith anything and you can't catch legendary pokemon or starters in the wild
